bsmt/framed,drywall,mud & taped only, flooded left alone 2yrs/ Blk. mold 6in up drywall / how can I fix-Larry?
apparently this house had a flood in the basement of about 3 inches. The owner did not do any reapairs except to push the wqter into the drain, and not a very good job at that. the basement has been framed / drywalled taped and mudded – not painted. There is nothing else in the basement. There is black mold all along the drywall on all the walls about 6 inches up ( there are a number of rooms framned in this basment.. So is it toxic, health concerns., what should I do about getting it cleaned up safley.
Black mold is a VERY serious health concern, and something you shouldn’t try to fix on your own – it can cause serious allergic reactions, chronic sickness, or even death. Get a professional to clean up the basement, and make sure that it hasn’t spread to other areas. It will cost you money, but it’s better safe than sorry when dealing with black mold.
