Trijicon Reflex Sights

Founded by a South African immigrant, the late Glyn Bindon, Trijicon has risen to dominate the world of magnifying reflex sights with its ACOG Advanced Optical Combat Gunsight. However, Trijicon have always invested heavily in research and development and have built up a great range of civilian and military sighting equipment for a wide variety of applications. One niche they saw was for an ultra rugged non magnifying reflex sight for mounting on shoulder weapons used for short range engagements. This not only means sub machine guns and carbines used for CQB, but also shotguns used for practical competitions and turkey hunting. These sights also have a niche in the back woods on lever action deer rifles.

With the Trijicon Reflex you don not rely on batteries and electronics for illumination. The Trijicon Reflex uses a fiber-optic light gathering device by day and a tritium lamp to illuminate the aiming pattern at night. This caters for almost any situation, the exception being shooting into bright surroundings from darkness, a scenario for which the Trijicon Tripower was developed. These sights offer very rapid target acquisition and engagement.

The Trijicon Reflex series use fully coated dichroic mirrors and have either 24 or 42 mm objectives. The housing is a very rugged investment casting of A357-T6 aluminum alloy. The sights are hard anodized in a dark grey matte finish. Amber dots of either 4.5 or 6.5 MoA provide the aiming point for most models, but a 12 MoA chevron is offered on one of the 24 mm ojective units. The recessed adjusters are calibrated in one inch at 100 yard clicks which is more than enough for the intended use.

A lot of effort has been put into making these sights fit a vast array of weapons. The sights are offered without mounts. You can then add your choice of Weaver, Flattop (Picatinny on AR15), Low Profile Flattop Quick Detach, Low Profile Weaver Quick Detach, H&K, A.R.M.S #15 throw lever, AK47 and an M16 / AR15 carry handle mount. To avoid reflection from the objective window a Tenebraex KillFlash is offered.

Units offered include the Trijicon RX01 which is a 24 mm objective model with a 6.5 MoA amber dot, the Trijicon RX30, a 6.5 MoA unit with a 42mm objective and the Trijicon RX34, another 42mm objective unit, but this time with the smaller 4.5 MoA dot.
