How to get grout and tile cement off of ceramic tile?
My husband and I tried to save $$ – and ceramic tiled the shower ourselves. It took forever….and ever. It’s been done a while now (not looking too professional, but good for us), but what’s bothering me is that when we wiped off the tile either during the grouting or initial cementing process, we didn’t do a good job. I clean and clean the tiles with scrubbing bubbles, etc, but it never wears away.
Is there something we can clean the tiles with that won’t injure the ceramic (I’m never tiling again!) but will take off the residue?

I just did it. You can use a plastic scraper,wet dry sand paper or purchase a chemical from your local Home Depot or Loews .
